This is a structured event focused on practising
English speaking skills. For this purpose, we play communicative (board) games.
You can join
free of charge and only contribute with voluntary donation if you gain value from the event.
HOW IT WORKS:
We are going to form 3 conversation groups (it may be less if we don’t have enough people). Choose which suits you the best according to the complexity of the game and language used:
𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗬 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 (A2):
– the organiser explains the game and plays with the group, or is present and monitors the gameplay and speaking skills to provide valid feedback;
𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 (B1):
– the rules are explained by the host, you can refer to the rulebook at any time;
𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗫 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 (B2-C1):
– independent group governed by itself – study the rules and play the game on your own;
– feel free to bring your own game.
TO MAKE IT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE:
1.
Mark your attendance at least one day ahead.
2.
Be on time so that we can play for all 2 hours without disturbance. Beware that the building entrance closes at 7 PM.
3.
Don’t worry about your English level. If you could read this far and you understood everything, you’re all set to go!
4.
Bring a friend along so that you share the love and ensure playing the game you fancy!
HOW TO FIND US:
When entering through the gate, go to the right and find stairs. Climb to 2nd floor (Metal Shop is on 1st, keep going!). When high enough, turn to the left and you will see door to Expat Centre. However, there is another door a bit to the right –
this is your magical entry spot to Narnia!
DISCLAIMER:
By participating, you agree to becoming famous as we are going to take pictures which may be used on social media.
All gaming material created during the event belongs to the hosts.
